From a young age, I was immersed in the world of business, thanks to my parents who were successful business owners. This early exposure instilled in me the values of hard work, innovation, and resilience. When I entered public service, I quickly realized that the honorarium provided by the government was insufficient to meet the needs of the many people seeking help. The traditional political system in the Philippines has unfortunately led many to believe that public servants are obligated to give them money or material things. This perception is fueled by the corruption prevalent among some public officials, creating a cycle where people feel they can only receive their fair share by asking for monetary assistance.

Faced with this reality, I was inspired, and indeed, compelled to become a resourceful entrepreneur. My goal was to generate additional resources so that I could help more people without compromising my principles. I believe that the system will not change overnight. However, with the collective efforts of my generation, through campaigns for good governance and voter education, we can foster a new era where people elect leaders based on integrity rather than vote-buying, politicking, and power-tripping.

Until this change materializes, it remains a challenge to stay afloat with the limited resources available. Yet, it is a challenge I embrace with determination and optimism. Through my entrepreneurial ventures, I strive to set an example of how resourcefulness and ethical business practices can coexist with public service, ultimately creating a more self-reliant and empowered community.
